The symbol

at the top of my tombstone represents:

the upper 3+3 = 6 solid line Yang symbols are the I Ching symbol for Heaven;
the bottom 1+1 = 2 broken line Yin symbols each represent Earth; and
the pattern of all 4+4 = 8 lines represents one of the 2^(4+4) = 2^8 = 16^2 = 256 Odu ( the symbol of Ogun ).

The base of the letter

of Shavuot begins at the lowest point of the letter to symbolize a rising flame.
