Dew Harrison's project entitled "Deconstructing Duchamp" requires 25 participants to lateralise the 'Large Glass' by reconfiguring "The bride stripped bare by her bachelors, even" from a 2D field into 25 interlinked elements across the Network field. Each element of the 'Glass' e.g. The chocolate grinder, 9 malic moulds etc., will be a web-site for gathering ideas, theories, quotes, diagrams, illustrations, sounds, images.........relating to that element. Where this information touches, involves or points the way to another 'Glass' element a direct link is made. Dew Harrison is a doctoral research student at CAIIA, Centre for Advanced Inquiry in the Interactive Arts University of Wales College Newport Caerleon Campus PO Box 179 Newport, Gwent, Wales NP6 1YG If you are interested in participating in the project, please email Dew Harrison, at : dharriso @ gwent.ac.uk This transposition of the 'Large Glass' into a global web of 25 interlinked web-sites, possibly a new interpretation in itself, certainly an explicit display of Duchamp's associated thoughts and ideas held within this piece of work and hopefully an illustration of the poetical and philosophical magic of his thought.
Dust was used by Duchamp in The Large Glass.
